March 2018 Skiing Holiday Deals in the Alps

March is the most popular time to go skiing among my family and friends who are not tied to school schedules of their kids.

Indeed, it is excellent time go skiing. After New Year 2017 and half term peaks accommodation prices go down to bearable levels. Months of snowfalls result in abundance of the white stuff on and off the slopes. The sun is stronger and each day gets longer. The result is skiing beautiful white pistes while watching perfect landscapes, enjoying blue sky and strong spring time sun.
First half of March 2018 is perfectly safe anywhere in the Alps. Skiing conditions are excellent across the board whether you choose Schladming-Planai that goes up to only 1800 metres or Italian ski resort of Val di Fassa that goes as high as 2600 metres above sea level.

Second half of March 2018 gets warmer in the Alps and it is safe to choose higher altitude resorts. Still, there are dozens of ski resorts to choose from. Being on the slope early in the morning is recommended. You get the most of the frozen snow after night as slopes tend to get soft in the afternoon.
