Bath spas (Kneipp bath, jacuzzi, etc.)
Bath spas The positive effect of the hot tub is commonly known. In details, the hot tub represents a small pool full of heated water, where adherents of wellness can soak, relax or have a massage and hydrotherapy. In the common case hot tubs are located outdoors, and are often sheltered for privacy and protection from different elements of the outer environment. There are two types of hot tubs: wooden-staved soaking tubs and fiberglass-covered plastic tubs (usually popular as "spas").

Jetted baths (also called bath spas) are a combination of the common bathtub and the hot tub with larger space, used by people also for socializing. In the same time, jetted baths can be also enjoyed by several guests in an intimate ambience. The jets themselves provoke different water pressure in order to provide maximum comfort by gentle swirling action to body, as well as targeting certain trouble areas like the shoulders, neck or lower back. In fact, jets cause the buoyancy and swirling of water, which increases circulation on the skin and tissues. You will feel soon relaxation of your tired muscles and the rejuvenating effect on your skin.

The bath spa concept is based on the known-for-years hydrotherapy, but appears to be one of the newest trends in the wellness world and a significant improvement of the everyday tub. Jetted baths are usually stylish in design, more often made of colourful ceramics than of porcelain, steel or polished brass. Today you can enjoy this kind of bath not only in a health club or spa, but even at home, where you can benefit from its medicinal and relaxing properties in privacy. When it comes to the home installation of such a luxurious bath, spare no expense and arrange it with a contractor or professional plumbers, rather than trying to manage it by yourself. These baths worth the money, since they will be disposable anytime at your home, ready to provide you relaxation and relief.

Jacuzzi is the jetted bath, well-known nowadays, but less known is the fact that this is a brand name, created by Jacuzzi brothers. They were prolific inventors who produced whirlpool baths and spas. Many refer Jacuzzi name to any jetted bath, even spas and hot tubs are incorrectly referred to as Jacuzzis. The current slogan of the company is "Jacuzzi: Water that moves you."

In the common case of usage a Jacuzzi does not differ significantly from a hot tub. The only difference is the lack of using jets in the hot tub. In this sense it would be correct to refer any type of hot bath to a hot tub. However, it is more often that hot tub is used when discussing wooden barrel hot tubs or some other forms of heating. In industry discussions, it is best to take hot tub with the same meaning as Jacuzzi. Thus, you can see in some product literature texts the expression "Jacuzzi hot tubs", where it refers the general product (hot tub) to the brand name. In case one cannot accept that hot tub is equivalent with Jacuzzi, then the term Jacuzzi hot tub becomes an oxymoron.

Whirlpool is the other name of the jetted bath, which means a special hot tub, in which motorized jets behind the walls produce a massage and therapeutic treatment to muscles, as well as relaxation.

Kneipp bath is another popular wellness treatment, based on the fivefold approach (hydrotherapy, motion therapy, phytotherapy, whole food nutrition and ordinal therapy). It takes from the hydrotherapy the idea of treating the body with water, changing its temperature from cold to hot and combines it with movements from the motion therapy for overall positive physical and psychological effect. Kneipp bath blends also treatments with plants (phytotherapy) to receive a healing effect with nutrient elements from the whole food nutrition (vitamins, etc.) and the idea of healthy lifestyle to achieve social and psychological benefits (taken from the ordinal therapy).

Almost every spa resort in Europe has included the bath spas in its list of wellness services. For example, in Austria there are more than twenty spa resorts, offering Kneipp treatment and awarded the quality seal "Recognised Austrian Kneipp Establishment". Among them there are Ischl, Bad Blumau, Bad Waltersdorf and etc. In Italy such resorts are Trentino and Toscana, in Switzerland: Valais, Zermatt and Saas Fee, and in France: Barèges and Brides-les-Bains.
