What is natural spa?
In the common case natural spa refers to a wellness area near thermal springs or seawaters, located in villages or small towns. Each spring has a different temperature, composition and properties. The thermal waters are used most effectively either for drinking or for external hydrotherapy treatments and the preparation of mud (included in treatments releasing tension). The natural spa services aim at both detoxifying your organism and restoring your body and mind, but also at relieving diseases by various treatments and manual techniques. The thermal waters have curative effect on ailments, such as heart and cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, gastro-intestinal disorders, hormonal dysbalances, respiratory and neurological problems, weak immune system, etc. Its purpose has found also application in drinking, bathing and inhaling.
Most of the natural spa centres are located amongst picturesque environment and spectacular panoramic views towards mountain peaks and ridges, lakes, waterfalls, rivers, etc. They represent also tourist destinations because most of them have historical sites and buildings with attractive architecture. There are many spa centres that are a part of ski resorts and thus the visitors can combine wellness services with skiing or hiking in the mountain surroundings.
