people very friendly both staff and other people. we were from australia and when people heard us speak they would often ask where we were from and ask funny questions like is this your summer holiday. access to good fresh food, ski gear was fantastic.

Yes. Skiing is excellent. We returned to the resort in 2009. Would prefer a better return to the resort from the Plein Sud area at the end of the day (access to Les Balcons). The metal walkway was badly designed and the final run was very narrow.

I have skied in many different countries at many different resorts. Val Thorens is definately one of the best resorts, all round with easy access to the plenty of slopes. Very important is the fact, that snow is almost guaranteed
I do not go to Brides-les-Bains for its night life, non skiing activities or it transport, so they dont matter. I go to Brides-les-Bains for its economy and access to 600km of pistes.
