62 km of really demanding routes, the highest peak in the Dolomites, from which you can go down a 12 km trail, and access to hundreds of kilometers of trails around the Sella Ronda ring. That is how you can sum up the Arabba Marmolada region. You can only really stay in Arabba - a small town perched at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level. You won’t find any loud clubs or exclusive boutiques here - most guests choosing accommodation in Arabba come here to ski down demanding runs. This resort has an exceptionally sporty atmosphere.
Although the name of the highest Italian mountain - rising to a height of 3342 m above sea level – Marmolada, is the undisputed hallmark of the region, skiing in Arabba involves mainly going down slopes descending from Porta Vescovo (2478 m). The local red and black runs are steep, demanding and, very importantly, long. Northern exposure ensures adequate hardness and high speed even in the afternoon in the second half of the season. Arabba is without a doubt the best address for experienced skiers looking for a station with a large selection of challenging trails.
Less experienced skiers should direct the tips of their skis in the direction of Marmolada and routes leading from Passo Padon (2370 m) to Malga Ciapela, where the lower station of the list leading to the summit is located. A pleasant red trail leads down from the very top, whose main difficulty is its narrow width in certain areas. It is no secret that Arabba is not the best place for beginners, who are advised to go skiing to Val di Fassa.
