In France, the glacier Tignes is the best option to start your ski season in early and mid November. If you plan to go skiing closer to the end of November, Val Thorens can be a good option - 99% of this ski resort’s terrain is located higher than 2000 metres above sea level.

Switzerland offers six glacier areas including Saas Fee, Glacier 3000 near Les Diablerets, the ski resort of Engelberg, glacier area in Laax and more than 30 kilometres of runs on the Diavolezza glacier near St. Moritz. Fans of Italy should look in the direction of Val Senales - Maso Corto ski resort - country’s only winter glacier area and Cervinia which is connected to the Swiss Zermatt - Matterhorn.
