The four-star Kohlehof Hotel in Fuegen im Zillertal is located directly next to the Spieljochbahn gondola (21 km of slopes). The centre is only about a 10-minute walk and the bus stop is in front of the hotel. The distance to the lower station of the Hochfuegen-Hochzillertal resort is about 7 km.

The Kohlerhof hotel in Fugen im Zillertal consists of two buildings offering an equal standard of rooms, connected by an underground passageway. The facility has 146 comfortable rooms offering great views of the surrounding mountains and the valley of the Zillertal. The modern bathrooms include robes, slippers and a hairdryer. IPod users will appreciate the presence of a docking station.

The Kohlerhof is known because of extensive wellness centre, which is located on its premises. Two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) six different saunas and many other attractions should satisfy any lover of leisure after a day of skiing. The entire area has a total area of 3000 square meters.

The hotel was wonderfully and authentically Austrian. The staff couldn't have been more helpful-they were able to direct us to ski hire before our arrival, arrange a transfer to and from the airport and we received a new hairdryer within minutes when ours broke down. They were exceptionally friendly and engaging. The hotel was clean and well run, and the food plentiful. The room was big for 3 dults and very comfortable-our only disappointment was the lack of a kettle in the room. We were made very welcome and after checkout were given towels to use the spa facilities to shower and change before our evening flights. We were the only English guests at the time and somewhat of a novelty. Fortunately I spoke German, but there were a few staff membes with some English if you found yourself in a party with no German speakers. To me the best thing about being in another country is to immerse yourself in its culture and the Hotel Kolerhof certainly provided this opportunity. The hotel is situated right on the slope, close to skibus stop and Spieljochbahn lift.The location was very nice, but it was too far to the city center without the car. We couldn't experience the night life, but it was not a problem for us, the hotel has a very nice bar with reasonable prices, SPA, and pool.
